Scouts and Guides (Rovers & Rangers)
The Bharat Scouts and Guides is the national scouting and guiding association in India which is a voluntary non – political educational movement for young people open to all without any distinction of gender ,origin or race. D.A.V.P.G. College, Gorakhpur is proudly running Bharat Scouts and Guides (Rovers Rangers) scheme and constantly contributing its best for over all development of the students. Let us understand what scouts and guides and rovers and rangers stand for. To know this we must look at its 3 respective sections it is divided in-
Bharat Scouts-
- Cubs- Boys, Ages 5 to 10
- Scouts – Boys, Ages 10 to 17
- Rovers- Boys, Ages 17 to 25
Bharat guides -
- Bulbuls – Girls , Ages 5 to 10
- Guides- Girls, Ages 10 to 17
- Rangers – Girls, Ages 17 to 25

The mission of our college for running Scouting and guiding scheme is to contribute to the education of young people through a value system based on the scout promise and law to help build a better word where people are self –fulfilled individuals and play a constructive role in society.

Rajya Purashkar known as the governor’s award is the highest award a scout and guide can earn at the state- level and it also helps a student to make his / her personality more attractive and impressive .It can also aid a scout and guide to get all the latest and new scouts and guides quota jobs.
